Hazelnut Chocolate Fudge Frosting

  • 200g unsalted butter, softened
  • 200g icing sugar
  • 8 tbsp Bonne Maman Hazelnut Chocolate Spread
  • 100g milk chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 150ml double cream

Method

Method

  1. Put the soft butter in a medium bowl and gradually beat in the icing sugar until smooth.

  2. With an electric whisk, beat in the Hazelnut Chocolate Spread followed by the melted chocolate.

  3. Finally whisk in the cream until fluffy and light. Use straight away or keep the frosting covered in the fridge for up to one week.

Cooks tips

  1. The frosting will be firm straight from the fridge so leave at room temperature to soften for an hour before using, or microwave for just a few seconds. The frosting also freezes.

Good to know

  • Enough to fill and coat a 20cm sandwich cake
